VSP / HDT test apparatus is designed to conduct these two different tests in one equipment termed as “Vicat softening point” and ‘Heat deflection temperature’.
Vicat softening point is the point of temperature at which a needle of 1 square.mm penetrates inside thermoplastic specimen up to a depth of 1 mm under a predetermined load of 10 N or 50 N and uniform rate of temperature rise as mentioned in ASTM D 1525/ISO 306.
Heat deflection temperature is the temperature point at which a thermoplastic rectangular bar of specified length deflects to 0.25 mm/ 0.32 mm when subjected to specified fibre stress of 455 Kpa/ 1820 Kpa/8000 Kpa with uniform rate of temperature rise as mentioned in ASTM D 648/ISO 75.
In order to meet user requirements from technical as well as commercial aspect we have offered various Analogue & Computerized models from two stations up to six stations.
Analog VSP/HDT test apparatus ( 2 stations) is designed to test two specimen at one time as per referred standards and comes with SS tank, Analogue Dial Gauges, PID controller with range from ambient to 400 deg C having additional rate of temperature rise facility. Set of weights ranging from 5 grams to 2000 grams are individually offered for two independent station. A full set of fixture comprising of VSP indenter fitment and HDT assembly are supplied for two individual stations.

Computerized VSP/HDT test apparatus (2 to 6 stations) is designed to test two specimen to Six specimen depending up the model selected by user at one time as per referred standards and comes with SS tank, Linear Potentiometer, Microcontroller with range from ambient to 400 deg C having additional rate of temperature rise facility. Set of weights ranging from 5 grams to 2000 grams are individually offered for two independent station. A full set of fixture comprising of VSP indenter fitment and HDT assembly are supplied for two individual stations.
This equipment would be offered with Digital micro-controller with Fully Atomatic Operation & calculations. Being Fully Automatic features such as Auto calculation of stress, Automatic Temperature rate control, Auto tuning process, Auto shut down heating & Auto cooling with result calculation and Display. Software would be additionally offered with RS 232 Serial communication with Graph for Penetration/Deflection Vs Temperature as well as Temperature Vs Time.
